The Privacy Law Scholars Conference – Latin America (PLSC LatAm) is the Latin American edition of the Privacy Law Scholars Conference (PLSC), a closed meeting aimed at academics, researchers, and professionals in the law and social sciences who produce work on privacy, data protection, and digital governance.
Its goal is to offer a restricted space where authors can submit articles in progress, receive detailed peer reviews, and enhance their research before official publication in the special issues of participating academic journals.
The event is organized in paper presentation sessions followed by intensive debate; Participation is usually limited to those who submitted accepted submissions, ensuring the unprecedented character of the work in progress and an environment of high academic quality.
PLSC LatAm is part of the CPDP LatAm program. Computers, Privacy and Data Protection LatAm (CPDP LatAm) brings together, in a single program, three major fronts:
Event | Description |
CPDP LatAm | Keynote Conference on Data Governance, Privacy and Technology in Latin America. |
MyData LatAm | Meeting dedicated to innovative approaches to personal data management. |
PLSC LatAm | Scholars session focused on legal and academic research. |
PLSC LatAm typically takes place a few months after the end of the general CPDP LatAm schedule. The event is held online, facilitating the remote participation of authors from different countries.
To participate in PLSC LatAm, participate in the CPDP LatAm call for papers, launched annually a few months before the Conference.
