This event will explore what AI safety truly means from the perspective of the global majority. This one-day gathering will feature multistakeholder sessions, bringing together voices from diverse regions and sectors to challenge Western-centric assumptions and promote critical analyses of AI safety. Participants will engage in hands-on workshops exploring specific AI technologies, identifying their unique risks, and collaboratively discussing mitigation strategies tailored to local contexts. The event aims to foster inclusive dialogue, practical learning, and actionable outcomes, ensuring that AI development and deployment reflect the priorities, values, and realities of the global majority.
